Question: Why is the Myers-Briggs test so popular?

So, MBTI is popular because it is connected with Type and once you know your Type (nature) you will be benefited throughout the life. I foresee a world where we all would be aware about of our Types and of-course MBTI will always be there with Type as it provides a simple access into the complex world of Type.

Why do people like Myers-Briggs?

In theory, knowing someones MBTI type or Enneagram number allows us to quickly and easily understand them and respond to them in a way that allows for smooth social interactions. We like clean categories. And it makes sense to us that people would fall into such clear categories.

Why is the Myers-Briggs test used?

The goal of the MBTI is to allow respondents to further explore and understand their own personalities including their likes, dislikes, strengths, weaknesses, possible career preferences, and compatibility with other people. No one personality type is best or better than another.

Katharine Briggs and Isabel Myers were the first kind, and the test they invented based on that belief, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, or MBTI, is the most popular personality test in the world. More than two million people take it every year.

Why do people not like Myers Briggs?

People have been criticizing the MBTI since it was created (by people who werent even psychologists). The MBTI was specifically designed to classify people into neat little boxes that could be easily checked against the binary classification system.
